I spent this past weekend in Madison, Wisconsin helping my brother move into college. I had a great time there experiencing a college campus/town that was completely the opposite of Irvine. Don’t get me wrong, I knew what I was in for when I chose Irvine, but man Madison as a city is pretty damn dope. Then again, I saw the city while the weather was nice and not covered in snow with temperatures below zero.
The state capitol, about a 15 minute walk from campus.

The view from my brother’s 10th floor dorm room.

View from the terrace at the Student Union building overlooking Lake Mendota.

One of the highlights of the trip was the food. My brother had visited Madison a few times before and he insisted on Ian’s Pizza as the first place to eat at.

Mac ‘N Cheese Pizza.

Chicken Alfredo Pizza.

For dinner one night we ate at Tornado Steakhouse. The inside has a great old-school vibe with a dimly-lit bar and leather booths.

Sea scallops poached in white wine and heavy cream over a mashed potato shell.

28 oz. Ribeye on the bone with an onion ring and roasted brussel sprouts.

Go hard or go home.

I went out to a few house parties with my good friend Ryan and surprisingly I was able to find some trees pretty easily. They weren’t the dankest but they did the job.

Went to the liquor store to buy a couple of swishers but was greeted instead by an assortment of dutches. Buy 2 Get 3, can’t go wrong with that.

As much fun as I did have, by the end of the trip though I was ready to be going back home. No matter what other cities I visit I’m always glad to be back home in Los Angeles.
After a slow and uneventful episode last week, Nancy and family appear to be returning to the only life they know; servicing the public’s weed (and hash) needs.

Big Sean’s Finally Famous Vol. 3 is finally here after several leaks and other delays. Looking over the tracklist the song that immediately stood out was Five Bucks (5 On It) featuring Chip Tha Ripper and Curren$y. Can never go wrong with the classic Luniz joint.

Here are some recent photos I found while surfing the net. All artists are LA based writers and as you can see, MSK is one of my favorite crews right now. The photo credits goes out to 12ozprophet.com. Enjoy.
